This year will be the 25th year for our Operation Backpack and we are facing the most urgent need ever. We work with the school counselors to identify students whose families cannot afford school supplies. The school counselors know best which students are in need.

Economically challenged schoolchildren face a critical need for school supplies in 2021, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues into the second year. The Jerry Doliner Food Bank is seeing unprecedented demand for food assistance from many local families and we know if families cannot afford food, they certainly will not be able to afford school supplies.
